This coaster is a custom order from an international chain hotel and is made of high-quality 20-years-old teak sourced from land managed by farmers in Sedayu Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency. The wood is responsibly harvested by adhering to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) rigorous standards.
The harvesting is carried out selectively, taking into account the natural growth cycle of the trees and the long-term availability of timber resources.
The entire supply chain involved in the production of this coaster complies with SVLK (Timber Legality Verification System) certification standards, which guarantees legality, transparency, and traceability of the sources.
Each product not only offers the strength and durability of high-quality teak wood, but also carries the value of sustainable forest management and supports the livelihoods of local farmers.
Coconut Sugar
(Gula Semut)
Coconut Sugar (Gula Semut) is a product sourced from the Menoreh Landscape and produced by farmers in Bagelen who sustainably manage coconut trees as part of their agroforestry systems. The sugar is made from fresh coconut sap that is carefully tapped and processed into fine sugar crystals.
Harvesting of coconut sap is carried out daily by farmers who carefully manage their tress productivity, ensuring the tapping process does not harm the trees.
Coconut Sugar not only provides natural sweetness and high-quality sugar, but also represents sustainable resource management and supports the livelihoods of local farming communities in Bagelen.
